OUT OF THE ASHES FESTIVAL: IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM HEAD OF EVENTS - TopicsExpress

OUT OF THE ASHES FESTIVAL: IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM HEAD OF EVENTS DIDD BAKSTAD As the founder and organiser of the Out of the Ashes festivals I have watched my events for the past 3 years go from strength to strength. To this day people are still talking about the 2014 festival and the great experience that the event gave them, and festival is now a small, but very recognisable brand within the Rock & Metal scene. I feel like a proud parent when I talk about the festival, but I know it is not perfect and we are already looking at areas of improvement. I want my baby to grow and blossom to become something special, but I cannot do this alone. For the 2014 event I asked for help and it came in the name of Dan Read, a man with the same drive and passion that I had when I created the festival, investing a huge amount of time and sharing knowledge, experience, contacts and fresh ideas. Through his experience running events in Chester and North Wales under THE CORE brand he has brought to the festival a level of organisation and professionalism that I could only have dreamed of, with both bands and staff noticing the difference and commenting on how smoothly everything ran behind the scenes at this year’s event. On a personal level Dan jumped in without any questions why when I needed him the most to take full control just before the event when personal circumstances unavoidably kept me away. So I’m taking a big step; the event has now been registered with Companies House as a Limited Company. I have formally asked Mr Dan read to be an official partner of the festival and as of Monday he will be a registered Director and shareholder meaning shared control. Congratulations Dan! To ease some of the burden on Dan I have also appointed a third manager, as Andy Pilkington joins the team as our Creative Director. Andy’s outstanding work with Headbangers Balls, a charity we’ve supported for the last two years, has always been at the heart of the UK’s emerging music scene and I feel his passion and expertise will complement our ethos perfectly. Andy’s role will be in the continued building of the festival Brand, PR and public image, and again working alongside Dan to help bring the very best music to our future events. We also have plans to bring in marketing expertise for 2015, looking for new and fresh fundraising talent. With this new team I am certain you will see noticeable differences and improvements to Out of the Ashes, but our main priority is to retain the family festival our fans tell us they love. We have become a networking hub for bands, both on and off stage, and with the continued support of managers, promoters and other industry professionals we think we are one of the very best showcases of new talent in the UK… …and all from a sleepy corner of Cheshire. So I Didd Bakstad, Head of Events, cordially invite you to join us in July 2015 for the 4th instalment of the mighty Out of the Ashes Festival. Thank you for reading. More news coming very soon. Didd
