OVERHEARD Dr. Abdul Rahman H. al-Sumait [May Allah have mercy on him] [1947-2013], was a Kuwaiti Islamic Scholar, Medical Practitioner, Philanthropist, Humanitarian Worker, Dai, who had established and built many masajid, schools, orphanages, and humanitarian projects in Africa and had guided into Islam 11 million people from different parts of Africa. In his view, wealth should not be the goal of our life. The goal must be to strive to serve others in order to please Allah. To him, what made the difference if you had much or had less would be how you serve other people to make them happy and be blessed with belief and faith in Allah. He said: IF I HAVE 10 MILLION RIYALS, I WILL EAT A LOAF OF BREAD; IF I HAVE ONLY 10 RIYALS, I WILL ALSO EAT A LOAF OF BREAD. SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? The difference is how you serve others and how you share with them Allahs blessings to you.
