OWELLE ROCHAS OKOROCHs HATRED FOR DUE PROCESS, AN INDICTMENT TO IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY: On may 28 2014, Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha openly declared to the whole wide world that he is an enemy to due process. He made this unceremonious statement in front the speaker and members of Imo state House of Assembly and they were all jubilating. In a democratic government like ours, what is the implications of the above statement credited to our governor. The answers are simple, 1. there is anarchy in the state. 2. there is absences of check and balances, rule of law and participatory governance which can be orchestrated by lack or no presence of the legislative arm charged to act as a watch dog to the executive arm. Over the years I have been shouting above hills and mountains that the Imo State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu are bunch of misfits and weak set of people who maybe do not understand the demands of their job or have sold their right for a pot of yam. How can the governor admit that he has successfully and consistently murdered due process in the act of discharging his official duties and our assembly men remains deaf, dumb and incapacitated without knowing what to do. To be frank this is the height of legislative misfit in Imo state. These so called assembly needs to be giving lessons on the rudiments and expectations of assembly men. They are failures and Okorocha have once again remind them of how they have failed the electorate that voted them into power. It is no longer news that what we have as assembly men are bunch of road contractors, who only seek for what they will eat and drink and not the general welfare of their constituencies. It is high time Imolites rescue theirselves from these weak and unfit house of contractors.
