Oak Creek and Franklin (School District) voters PASSED Referendum Question #1 yesterday. What that means for the School District. Referendum Question #1: Construct Two New Schools ■ Not-to-Exceed $59,095,000 • Construct a new elementary school for grades 4K-5 on district owned land on Drexel Avenue and 20th Street. • Construct a new secondary school on district owned land next to the existing high school (current location of city’s civic buildings) with a covered walkway connecting the new building to the main high school (Knights Place would no longer be a “thru street” for traffic).
