Obama Paying to Relocate 9,000 of His Muslim Buddies Here in the U.S. The country is about to receive another “surge” in refugees, but this time, they won’t come across our southern borders. This time the refugees are Muslims, and the United Nations is involved. The United States Department of State announced recently that the first group of 9,000 refugees from Syria have been selected by the U.N. High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR), and will be resettled into communities all over the U.S.The actual number of refugees America accepts is not the end of the story, however. The refugees are placed on a fast track to citizenship, and that allows them to bring their extended families into the country under the government’s Refuge Family Reunification program.
