Obama faces the most critical moment in his presidency with regard to international crises. Iraq is on the verge of explosion due to the Islamic State Radical Terrorist Caliphate. Human rights violations there are matters we should all be concerned about as the standard-bearers of democracy, let alone the Christianity so many of our governmental leaders like to use when convenient. Yazidis women are being raped as a tool of war, but rape is also a form of genocide. Russias assault on Ukraine is probably the most dangerous action to occur during the Obama presidency proving the Cold War never ended but was only dorment for a while. We need strong leadership to confront these crises, but we also need a Washington that is committed to facing international challenges without dwelling on party poltiics, we need a Washington willing to unit behind the President. Thats probably not possible even though the outcome of Obamas actions will likely either resurrect the status of the US in the global environment, or more than likely seal this nations decline in the eyes of the rest of the world. Most Americans are oblivious to how far our credibility has fallen.
