* Obama just announced a rekindling of relations between the US and Cuba. Since he spoke of no Castro concessions of goodwill toward oppressed Cuban citizens, why are we interested in lifting restrictions and sanctions against Cuba? The Communist regime will undoubtedly gobble up any improved economic benefits of freeing up the impoverished nation. * Its obvious there will be no spreading of freedom to Cubans under the totalitarian Communist regime - so what is there for OUR administration to gain by snuggling up to the dictatorial leadership? * Since freedom will NOT spread to Cuba - what about Communist influence spreading here? We all know there are American fans of Communism. Theyre undoubtedly ecstatic that Communism will become more of a discussed topic due to the Presidents irrational actions ........... Opinions?
