ObamaCare Enrollment Will NOT Be Extended! At least that’s what I thought they said? We have no plans to extend the open enrollment period. You’ve heard us make that clear. – Press Secretary Jay Carney, March 21 So the Obama Administration yesterday released that there will be a two week enrollment extension for qualified healthcare plans for anyone that visits the HealthCare.gov website and clicks on the little box that says they need more time because of WHATEVER! This will certainly reverberate through the right wing ObamaCare watchdog circle as yet another problem with ObamaCare (god only knows that it doesn’t need another one) but truthfully, two more weeks does not change a thing EXCEPT…….Public Perception! Like the red lines the President keeps drawing and then erasing, so are so many things Kathleen Sebelius has said, regarding ObamaCare, only have to retract and defend herself for doing so. Again, the two week extension means very little other than the administration once again can’t get its shit together and stick with their story. As to any supportive reason as to why they have go and extended the deadline two more weeks, there isn’t one and you would think that for no other reason than to avoid the negative backlash from the right, they’d not grant an extension. And keep in mind, this really extends the deadline a full month as the original deadline was March 15th. We must never lose sight of the fact that ObamaCare is a national healthcare insurance subsidy, not healthcare reform. Our options are to learn to live with its significant flaws and astronomical costs or repeal the law for being the federalized disaster that it is. Because of its complexity and one size fits all design, ObamaCare is simply unfixable.
