Obese - Fat - Overweight... call it what you will, its not good - TopicsExpress

Obese - Fat - Overweight... call it what you will, its not good for a dog to be any of the three and you are pretty much setting your dog up for a whole range of health problems if you allow your dog to become overweight. Issues that range from heart problems, joint problems, intestinal issues to name just a few. How does a dog become overweight? What are your views, how does it happen, how can it be prevented, how can you help your dog lose weight? Is it exusable to have an overweight dog? What do you consider it to be when a dog owner has an obese dog, love? Lack of knowledge? Abuse? Chime in and give your views and or solutions for this issue... (Sorry for the GSD, I had a hard time to find a Malinois that was overweight and the one that I do know of would throw a hissy fit of epic proportions if I used their dog so I decided against it.)
