Obituary Alene Christiansen Loisate Alene Christiansen Loisate, 79, passed away on May 25, 2014 from a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 20, 1935 in Downey, Idaho to Elvin Chirstiansen and Ione Jensen. Alene was raised in Downey, Idaho and graduated from Downey High School in 1953. She met and married John Pete Loisate on June 9, 1957 in Downey, Idaho. They have resided in Blackfoot since 1964. Alene was a very giving and loving person and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was one to never forget any of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildrens birthday, graduation, holiday or any occasion. She worked for the school district for over 20 years in the school lunch program. Most of her career she worked at IT Stoddard Elementary where she loved working with the staff and the grade school children. In her later years she loved to travel with her family and was a part of any family vacation plan. She especially enjoyed her annual trips, cruises, and bus tours with her brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Terry and daughter Carolyn Loisate, sister, Flora Gambles and brothers, Neil and Blaine Christiansen. Alene is survived by her son Steven (Brenda) Loisate, of Boise, ID, two brothers Theron (Marilyn) Christiansen, Allan (Hilda) Christiansen, and four sisters Donna Hart, Marilyn (Lynn) Throckmorton, Nayda (Lyle) Burbank, and Mary Sue Draper. She leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can explain. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackfoot LDS 1st Ward Church, 187 N. Ash Street. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at hawkerfuneralhome.
