Obituary Evelyn E. Heidorn Kehrer Born: Tuesday, May 11, 1920 Died: Friday, October 17, 2014 Evelyn E. Heidorn Kehrer, 94, of Georgetown, IN formerly of Milltown, IN died on October 17, 2014 at the Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, IN. She was born on May 11, 1920 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Bennie F. and Ruby Pearl Carlisle Heidorn. She was raised in Huntingburg, IN and moved to Milltown, IN during her teen years where she attended the Milltown High School. She married George Leroy Kehrer on March 21, 1937 and they were together 53 years until his death on November 6, 1990. She was former co-owner of the Georgetown Drive-In Theater in the early 1960’s and retired to North Ft. Myers, Florida from 1967-1989. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, visiting and talking with friends. She was a former member of the Milltown United Methodist Church, member of the Tunnel Hill Christian Church of Edwardsville, IN, and Order of the Eastern Star where she was a 50+ member of Milltown, Georgetown, and currently the Old Capital Lodge # 467 in Corydon, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Leroy Kehrer; sisters, Marcella and Dorothy Miller; and a brother, Robert Heidorn. She is survived by her sons, Terry Kehrer (Wanda) and Sammy Kehrer (Judy) both of Georgetown, IN; grandchildren, Darren Lee Kehrer (Nancy) of Lebanon, IN, Devon Lee Kehrer (Crystal) of Sellersburg, IN, and Brian Lee Kehrer (Lauren) of Floyds Knobs, IN; a sister, Shirley Oberholtzer of LaPorte, IN; a brother, Steve Heidorn (Judy) of Jasper, IN; and her sister-in-law, Beverly Heidorn of Salem, IN. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown, IN. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and after 10:00 am until time of the service at the funeral home. Pastor Becky Gibbons will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery. Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home was entrusted the arrangements.
