Observations on my build. As many of you know I built a RMH in my 18X20 hoop greenhouse. I put it on the north wall. I am a bit disappointed it doesnt heat better. I guess I needed to do an 8 pipe system instead of a 6. My center insulated pipe I got for the stack was free so I made it all 6. I started with 2 6 foot exit pipe lengths, but discovered that most of the heat was going outside. I added 15 and the result was a longer burn. I was putting in sticks that were to long and would go out and find the greenhouse full of smoke. I now only use shorter sticks that dont come out the top and I put a brick over half of the burn opening when it gets going and I have had no smoke escape. I have covered all the pipe with driveway rock and some sand, but have found that the pipes and rock heat up very little. It is hard to justify making cob to finish the bench when it doesnt heat up that much.
