Obviously, this time of year is filled with heartfelt emotions for me. Its probably my favorite of all holidays, goes up there with Halloween. Its also Daddys, nope, it was Daddys favorite holiday season. The Capricorn season is the Season mami and daddy got married, the season they had their first born son, on their first wedding anniversary. I remember too well early on that life comes at you with experiences that challenge your every being. So, yes bitter sweet. That is why I appreciate nostalgia and going down memory lane as much as the next dude or dudette. Sweet memories that bring smiles and warmth to the heart mix with some tears of bitter sweet because they are memories of a different time. But, those that know me well, know that I don’t paralyze myself in the past. On top of my new year’s resolutions list is just the norm for me, to continue to create memories today with the ones I love so that when I’m at a time without the ones I love, or them without me, [if they love me, but who wouldnt? lol ] I am not stuck with the many “I should’ve then” or “why didn’t I when I had the chance” There is a Latin tropical song/dance number, the singer’s lyric goes something like, “Whatever you’re going to do for me or give me, do it while I’m alive not when I’m gone” Ponder this won’t you? I wish all the Happiest of Holidays, this year every year.. NOw if only buster would let me put his santa hat on but hes napping.. Ill try to get one in later...
