Oct. is Pit Bull Awareness Month. ~I saw this cuties puppy pic on the Western PA Humane Society page many years ago. He was recovering from surgery at the time, but would soon be ready for adoption. I asked (half seriously, half jokingly) my husb if we could go take a look at him, but he said, No, we already have two Duncans in the house. It would be too confusing to have a third. Instead I contacted the WPAHS and told them I would paint this pups portrait as a gift to his adoptive family. Soon after he was adopted and his new mom brought him (now a happy, handsome tripod) along to pic up the portrait...so at least I got to meet him. ~ me This is Duncan 16x16. (My husb is Duncan III and our son is Duncan IV)
