October 16, 2008. Married in the ruins of an old colonial bell tower. 2014, we are still traveling this road together. Proud of us, Vincent. Its not perfect. We mess up. If weve learned anything, weve learned to be transparent about the true work that goes into a marriage. Its about time that we all did that. Maybe then, there would not be so many families and spouses torn apart. Love is not what our society, culture, and world have taught us. Love continually learns, forgives, and moves on, trying to not make the same mistakes again. Those same mistakes we are trying not to make again, OH!, promise, they WILL be made again. We are human. Love, a choice, not a word or even an action. Love. A choice to continually see the one you made vows to as God sees them. Marriage and love are NOT all rainbows, butterflies, unicorns, romantic evenings and kisses, holding hands and making googalee eyes at each other. Marriage and love are choices made. If these two were based on actions or feelings, they simply would not even exist. After all, our creator, aleph, yeshua, chose to create us and give us life. From his love we are.
