October 2009 eight members of the QLD Innisfail SES group were utilised in the Rawhide episode of Sea Patrol. Their task as extras was to role play their usually job as SES volunteers helping a community hit by a severe storm. After that episodes shoot had finished the SES members were thanked by the Sea Petrol production management and the Crew members of the HMAS Hammersley, who also gave these SES members involved this signed, autographed photo of them self.
