October 3, 2014 For Immediate Release FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE AND PA. STATE NURSES SUPPORT BOB MCATEER FOR HD-102 SEAT HARRISBURG— Robert W. McAteer, Independent Candidate for the 102nd State House District, announced today that he received the endorsement of two key organizations, the Trooper Philip C. Melley Memorial Lodge 65 of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA). “I am proud to receive the endorsement of Trooper Philip C. Melley Lodge 65 of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association,” said McAteer. “As a former Senior Deputy District Attorney for Lebanon County it is a great honor to receive the support of hard working people that serve and protect the residents of Lebanon County.” McAteer stated, he will continue to stand up for the nurses, police and residents of 102nd District when elected state representative on November 4th. The Trooper Philip Melley Memorial Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police is part of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, it’s made up of five hundred current and former state police officers. The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association represents over 215,000 registered nurses in Pennsylvania. McAteer, had previously worked as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in Lebanon County and prosecuted over 80 criminal jury trials. He currently has a law practice in Lebanon. McAteer switched from Republican to Independent before the primary to give voters a choice. Prior to that supporters of the Republican nominee had filed court actions to remove all his primary competition.
