October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Please remember to check yourself regularly. Some of you may remember that I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2013. I had a good chance of beating it because I discovered the lump early. I had the lump removed and went through radiation therapy. My last radiation treatment was completed on May 2, less than one week after attending the funeral of my good friend, Pom, who lost her long battle with breast cancer. I want to thank again all my friends and family and even strangers who supported me through my treatment.
