October is breast cancer awareness month. Im sure we all have someone special, who fought, is fighting or came out a survivor of this thing called cancer. Statistics say that about 1 in 8 woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, for men its 1 in 1000. Up until now I had only heard of woman being diagnosed with breast cancer. It is not as common for men to be diagnosed with breast cancer, but it does happen. Next Thursday October 16th , 2014 Redbarn is helping a very special man and his family out! Neal Thiessen has recently been diagnose with breast cancer and we would very much like to help him and we wanted to ask if we could all come together and show them support during this rough path that they are going through. I dont know him personally, but I know that he means a lot to my family, friends, and this community. Neal underwent his first round of chemo this week, hes having some rough nights and mornings. So lets keep this family in our thoughts and prayers! On Thursday Oct. 16th a portion of our sales will go towards him and his family with medical expenses!
