October was a busy month and November looks to be just as busy. The Joplin PAT celebrated the 30th birthday for Parents as Teachers with a Pizza dinner followed by games and cake. This proved to be the biggest parent/child connection of the program year. Several retired parent educators also joined in the celebration along with our supervisor Lisa Orem who cut the cake. KODE TV came for some highlights as well. Nov. 5, all the educators were trained in our new hearing screening equipment, so expect your educator to offer the hearing screening on you child in the future. Next parent/child connection activity will be a guest speaker. Kerri Clouse will be sharing great information on the brain and social/emotional development. This is parents only. Nov. 17 at 6:00 pm in the McKinley Library. Enjoy some photos from Super Hero night and the birthday party.
