Ode to Mountain Biking! A year ago I looked at the frame; The wheels the chainrings; I sensed the pain Trepidation, angst twas all embraced, had to bear down, this was never my game. I mounted up and pedalled a bit, first time in cleats, I looked like a twit! I stove to ride further one wheel roll at a time before I knew it, I was fine. Took to the bush twas Holla I chose, watching fat blokes and oldies, past me they rode Determined to get there I knuckled down, slightly stronger & faster I looked less like a clown 18 months gone, and a lot has gone past, Im now resigned that Ill never be fast; But happy & healthy, yes, that I will be, just hitting the trails, my MTB and me!! With friends anew, and friends of old, my MTB story is yet to be told!! *********************************************************************************** To all of you that have made my sojourn into MTBing as fun as it has been, thank you!!!
