Ode Bird 1 Our world and the universe become largo, To be and then to un be is not much sorrow at all. In the cold world a penguin warms an egg, Protecting it with patient care, In this desolate eternal winter, penguins huddle together to preserve warmth. 2 A peacock spreads its tail in the rain touched arbour. 3 A hyacinth macaw eats palm nuts. 4 In darkness an owl swoops down to grab a fish. 5 A kingfisher plunges within water and grabs a fish. 6 A bee hummingbird within a flower feeds on nectar. Song May our lives, like dewdrops on a leaf, under the morning sun, gleam, before disappearing.
