Of My DREAM, and My DESTINY! For somebody who grew up dreaming of becoming a Gup, an opportunity to serve the people of Thrimshing Gewog would have been immensely satisfying. But destiny had its own mysterious way of thrusting upon me an alternative that I least expected in life – a career in the Foreign Service! Two years on, I am still struggling to learn the ropes of this trade. For the mind shaped by decades of rural upbringing, a sudden shift into thinking like a diplomat is not easy. But I have not given up yet – Indeed, I may be in for the long haul!
