Of all the things you might think Kimmel could say, this will be - TopicsExpress

Of all the things you might think Kimmel could say, this will be strange to most. I have to post about my time with the Funk. My first and most powerful influence in music (other than mom and dad) passed away. Cordell Boogie Marson, the Bass player and guitar player from the original Parliament, as well as Parliament Funkadelic, and P-funk band passed away last month. I will miss him in the profound sense of what many think of as "forever." My foundations of music were forever changed by the time I spent with him and Malia Franklin at their house, on long walks, at Glam Slam, working with the Ohio Players, with Billy Beck at the studio, buying 3.2 bear on Sunday, at Paisley Park and on stage. Never will I forget these times. Thank you Boogie and Mallia you helped me grow up. The years I spent with you are my favorite. I will think about you always and miss you forever.
