Of course every trip or vacation has some awkward and/or special moments, which I will share with you !!! 1. Since we left the next day after the Xmas holidays, I didnt have much time to pack. In haste, I tried not to forget anything but of course I managed to do just that. I get down to Varadero, with my new camera in tow & started taking pics & suddenly my low battery light turns on. I was certain that I had packed my charger it but I didnt, so I spent the better part of the next day trying like hell to find a decent camera shop to no avail. So I had to purchase a Maxell Maxcam H-20 which cost me $120 pesos, since I was in in a desperate situation. Nice little camera (which is water proof) & can take underwater pics but still not the same as my Canon, so I made the best of the situation. Lesson learned the hard way, and for my next trip to Jamaica, next month, that will be the FIRST thing that I will pack (battery charger) !!! 2. Brig & I decided to sit in the lobby of the hotel where we were staying, and we meet this guy named Danny B. from Tdot & this other dude from PEI named Renee. So the 4 of us were chatting away when I over-hear Danny B. tell Brig that she looks so tired & that they should go lie down. Well I burst out laughing when I heard the pick-up line & I look over at Brig and she didnt catch on right away but I did. I laughed so much... and thought that he was funny & he was. So I lean over to tell Renee that he could use that line when he met other single women at the Hotel. We all got a good laugh out of that one !! 3. On the 4th day of our vacay, which was Dec. 31st., we decided that we wanted to go for a jeep excursion, and so off we went. So we get to the place where all the jeeps are parked & the way that it was organized is that we are paired up with two other people so 4 peeps per jeep. Since we were 2 single females, they paired us up with 2 other women, from Kazakhstan. Brig and I find the jeep that we want, while we wait for the other 2 women, of which 1 of them was on the phone. Everyone including the guide is waiting for us to get our act together, & then I tell Brig if she isnt here in 5 minutes, we are taking off. She suddenly appears and sees me sitting in the drivers seat & of course she wanted to drive. So she goes up to the guide & tells him that she wants to drive so then he comes over to our jeep and said that we have to take turns, (just like kids) which I was ok with as I just wanted to take pics anyway. We had an amazing time all 4 of us as the day wore on & we got to know each other !!!!!!! Four divas in one jeep made for some very awkward first moments !!!
