Of late, our discussion has been centered on the word SUBDUE and its dichotomous meaning. The word SUBDUE or rather, the act of SUBDUING, I believe, is critical to the development of race as a social concept. More importantly, it best describes what all of us are purposed to do here on earth. Lets review the two opposing meanings of the same word. First, SUBDUE means to conquer; to crush; to extinguish. All of which, the white race would do, changing the trajectory of entire races of people. The second meaning of SUBDUE is characterized by self-restraint and motivated by a higher level of principals. Here the meaning of the word SUBDUE is not to oppress or take advantage of others. Apparently, the same word can express two diametrically opposing ideas. Yet, both meanings have similar outcomes. Creativity and fortitude, which are positive traits, can develop either way. So then the conflict in meaning must reside in the mindset and execution. For when one group subdues solely for the purpose of enhancing their own race or deliberately and systematically causes damage to another race of people, the act of subduing becomes detrimental to all.
