Of the countless memories I have of this establishment, which has virtually been my home away from home since two decades ago, two stand out: my excruciatingly delicious initiation, Tangkad style, at LHirondelle (now Tivoli), as a plebe at Businessday, and when Malou De Joya (who turned out not to be the girl I thought was the type who would be trapped forever in clothes with ruffles, thank God, hahaha!) and I rushed in at the Brasserie (now Paseo Uno) at quarter to three in the afternoon and asked that the lunch buffet not be made ligpit..and the restaurant staff OBLIGED us brats (which started my torrid love affair with this establishment, and thus, the reason for the major lump in my throat as I go through this)..Charisse Chuidian
