Ofei lauds teammates for league performance Posted on: Sun Jun 30, 2013 @ asantekotokosc David Ofei has told asantekotokosc that every member of the playing body deserves to be commended for Kotoko’s 22nd league title triumph. According to the hardworking midfielder, the spirit of togetherness played a great role in the club’s title win for which reason he is applauding his teammates. “We couldn’t have done it without unity. Individually, we might all be good but a team is nothing without togetherness. There was unity of purpose. I think that is what helped us. Everybody has to be congratulated for that” he said. Kotoko drew 14 times and also won the same number of matches and lost twice. David Ofei opined that this was achieved because of the team’s resolve not to surrender even when things appeared difficult. “We didn’t want to give up. We knew we could do it. We were not happy with the numerous draws but that was better than losing. I believe everything worked together for good” he said. Ofei, who scored two goals – one in the Premier League and the other in the FA Cup gave the assurance that the team would work hard to clinch the double. By: Jerome Otchere
