The Annual Neighborhood Garage Tour is our grass roots community-building program that strives to cross geographic and economic barriers between audiences and our work. ABOUT THE FEATURED PRODUCTION: Stripe & Spot (learn to) Get Along is an original fable incorporating the stylistic theatrics and look of turn-of-the-20th-century vaudeville, and silent film. Stripe and Spot each set sail for glory and conquest, but find themselves haplessly shipwrecked on an uncharted island, unbeknownst to the other. Narrated by a vaudevillian Sun and Moon, the show is a ridiculously comical, and immensely creative show for a family audience. The show has all the signature elements of Off-Leash Area’s Ivey Award-winning work, including an interactive set, physical performances, dance & theatre & visual art, and is led by co-directors Jennifer Ilse and Paul Herwig. Stripe & Spot also includes an original show-length score by local composer Craig Harris, lighting by Paul Epton, costumes by Kym Longhi, and text by Dominic Orlando.
