The employee(s) will earn time and a half for time worked in excess of 40 hours per work week. Pay Grade : 10 Salary Range: Pay Grade 10 (MIN-MID) $24,072.96 - $31,892.40 yearly at 37.5 hour work week Special Entrance Rate : No Description of Job Duties Works directly with the caseloads of the Independent Living and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors who provide services to blind and visually impaired consumers in various stages of rehabilitation. Interprets and applies, laws, rules, regulations and policies applicable to the administration of agency programs. Organizes and develops consumers case files. Maintains and review case files on a regular basis, Enter statistical data collected from counselors on each consumer into the Case Management System. Conducts six month and one year follow-ups on closed consumer cases. Enter data to produce payment authorization to vendors for services for consumers. Conducts public relations activities with staff. Answers phone, directs calls, takes messages and returns calls. Collects referral information for counselors. Prepares correspondence for counselors. Manages the office which includes ordering supplies, monitoring the federal, state and agency reporting requirements. Provides information on and coordinates the Accessible Textbook Unit to ensure students in post-secondary education have their textbooks in accessible format. Performs other duties as assigned. Group : GENERAL ADMINISTRATION Characteristics of the Class : Provides professional support in the review, evaluation, development and implementation of agencys activities; and performs other duties as required. Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements : Work is typically performed in an office setting. Additional Requirements : Upon appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid drivers license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may be necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is necessary it will be listed in the specific position description for that position.
