Official “House of Hope” Event Press-Release Peace in Afghanistan Foundation BENEFIT CONCERT FOR AFGHAN CHILDREN AT SPRECKELS THEATRE - IN SAN DIEGO, California ON April 25th 2014. Several International superstars and Talent will appear and perform. The one-and-only MAJOR SURPRISE GUEST – who is a media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist – will attend the black-tie event House of Hope Benefit Concert, produced by the San Diego-based Peace in Afghanistan Foundation (PIA-F). The star-studded event will raise money for the building of an orphanage (Safe House) and the creation of an adoption project in war-ravaged Afghanistan. (Confirmed list of celebrities/ official flyer for the event is available to elite (exclusive) parties of the media on request) An evening of musical performances from international superstars and surprise appearances by Academy Award Winning Talent will highlight the evening. The program will feature American and Afghan Singers, Musicians, Actors, Comedians, Magicians, and Entertainers. The benefit extravaganza is being organized by Samir Zakir, owner of the movie production company Zakir Pictures, and founder of the PIA-F. “There are Afghan children currently housed in places that are sorely inadequate,” says Zakir. “We want to build a new home in Kabul where they will be properly taken care of with healthcare, food, shelter and education.” Tickets for the event, which is scheduled from 8-11 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, can be purchased on Ticketmaster, or by calling the PIA-F at 310-721-9827. General admission tickets start at $200 and VIP seating is $2,000. There will be VIP parties an dinners before and after the event. Spreckels Theatre will host a red carpet walk of celebrities from 7-7:30 p.m., before the main event. NOTE: Tickets are selling out quickly.
