Official Summary from the DPR for August 25 During the offensive operation the militia forces completely destroyed the military base of Ukrainian troops in Sedovo, routed all the checkpoints around Sedovo and Novoazovsk. Theres ongoing sweep of these two cities from the punitive troops. Taking control Novoazovsk will open a direct road to Mariupol for the DPR army forces, it is planned to take this city under the control of the republican army in the nearest time. Fierce fighting is happening near the Svyato-Uspensky Nikolo-Vasilyevsky monastery (village Nikolskoye of Volnovakha district). In the settlement of Markino there is military action against the fortified militants of the punitive batallions Dnieper-1 and Donbass. For the whole night the militia forces were focused on narrowing the encirclement rings around the two blockaded Ukrainian groups in the area of the settlements Voykovsky, Kuteynikovo, Blagodatnoye, Alekseevskoye, Uspenka, Ulyanovskoye, and also near the settlement of Yelenovka. According to intelligence reports, in the cauldron there are more than 40 tanks, about 100 IFVs, APCs and airborne IFVs, 50 vehicles of multiple rocket launcher Grad and Uragan, and more than 60 pieces of field artillery and mortars. As a result of the reconnaissance in force, detachments of the DPR army entered Yelenovka, destroying up to 8 tanks, up to 19 armored vehicles and a mortar battery.
