Often times we are quick to condemn and cast stones at the person - TopicsExpress

Often times we are quick to condemn and cast stones at the person who was devoutly following Christ, but fell off into certain sin. When we cast those stones, we become angry, spiteful, hateful, therefore making our rebuke of no weight. I agree there is time for sharp rebuke, but what Paul us saying in the scripture below, is that in getting fleshly angry while rebuking a brother in sin is deadly to you. Be stern on sin, but restore them in gentleness so that you too will not fall into sin..we must make sure we are not opening doors in the way we live or speak. Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. (Galatians 6:1 ESV)
