Ogor Tasks PDP Candidates, Aspirants On Unity, Hardwork AS the Delta state forthcoming local government and 2015 general elections continue to gather momentum, the Deputy Majority Leader of House of Representatives and member representing Isoko federal constituency, Rt. Hon Leo Ogor, has charged all People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates and aspirants from Isoko extraction to make unity and hard-work their watchword. Ogor, who gave this charge while playing host to the Isoko South PDP chairmanship flag b­­earer in the October 25th council polls, Sir Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo and his supporters who paid him a courtesy call in his country home at Ozoro, noted that any attempt to fight among themselves will create vacuum for external bodies to invade the unity among Isoko PDP members. The deputy majority leader, while admonishing all candidates, aspirants and members of the party in Isoko and Delta state as a whole to work assiduously in ensuring the success of the party ahead of the state local government election, expressed optimism that the quest for hunger for victory by members of the party in Isoko was an indication that PDP is battle ready to win the elections in the state and urged them to sustain the tempo. The federal lawmaker reminded the supporters and the duo of Sir Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo (Malik) the Isoko North PDP chairmanship flag bearer in the October 25th council polls, Comrade Egbabor Emmanuel to form an alliance that would stand the test of time and as well be prepared to make Isoko a better place. Ogor, who described the two PDP candidates in the councils as gentlemen par excellence, pleaded with Isoko youths to identify with noble initiatives, noble objectives and cardinal principles that will be able to move Isoko forward and strengthen Isoko’s democracy even as he cautioned all and sundry to shun anything capable of factionalising the party but rather, work towards engendering unity, cooperation and success. Responding on behalf of his Isoko Noth counterpart, the Isoko South PDP chairmanship flag bearer, Sir Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo commended the deputy majority leader of House of Representatives and member representing Isoko federal constituency, Rt. Hon Leo Ogor for his call for unity and cooperation among candidates and aspirants and Isoko in general, describing the federal lawmaker as an epitome of good leadership. While assuring and promising quality leadership and delivery of dividends of democracy to the people, Ikpokpo maintained that as flag bearers of the party in Isoko South and North, they would not leave any stone unturned in sensitising the people and ensuring that the impact of their administration is felt in the grass root. Ikpokpo assured all of their readiness to work as one entity in ensuring the success of the party even while disclosing their preparedness ahead of the local government election, he also expressed happiness on the level of commitment of Ogor in uplifting the well being of the people and called on other leaders in the zone to emulate the deputy majority leader.
