Ogun State since inception had been governed by five political parties namely the Unity Party of Nigeria UPN, Social Democratic Party, Alliance For Democracy, People Democratic Party and the incumbent Action Congress of Nigeria. Each administration in their passages has left their footprints on the sand of history bringing us to where we are today. The UPN government built the first phase State Secretariat complex, the house of Assembly complex, Ogun State University, Ogun State Polytechnic, Oba Lipede and Ita Osu modern markets , Gateway pharmaceutical , Ijebu Ode Established Gateway Hotels, Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode and Otta , established additional Secondary schools through out the State among other notable projects. The SDP within its short term started completed the MKO Stadium and the GTV complex Ajebo road. The Alliance for Democracy administration built the Ogun State house , Abuja, Opic plaza Lagos, opened up many rural roads, connected Ogun waterside local government to National grid , embarked on Rural electrification projects in many communities, built the new Government house , Issle Igbein and a befitting Deputy Governors lodge. The PDP government established Tai Solarin University of Education, ijagun, relocated the college of Education to Omu, established the Southwest Resource Centre, Gateway Holdings, built the new Opic plaza, dualised Sagamu - Siun road, lalubu okelewo road, Ibara- Omida road, Ilisan-ago iwoye road,mobalufon -Ijebu Ode road, renovated, state hospitals ijaye , Ijebu Ode, Otta. Established School of Nursing , Ilaro, built three additional Stadia in Ijebu ode, Ilaro and Sagamu, built the best NYSC orientation camp in the country, built the ultra modern markets at Sagamu and Owode Yewa, built the second phase New Secretariat Complex, built the Obas complex, Leader in workers estate, Ayetoto, OKE okuta , media village housing estates. The ACN government has embarked on Totoro Sokori road six lane expansion project rehabilitation of schools and health centres ahead of..,,2015. My dear people of ogun State we need to appreciate all these good works of the past and present regimes. We also need to ask ourselves which regime or Party has done much for Ogun State. -DAPO OKE
