Oh Boy! So, a few things I been futzing with on my TX. The Rates to make it a bit more tame to fly while maintaining panic control. I dont like Expo. I came up with some Hi Low rate combos. Elevator is your front/back, and Aileron is side to side. SO I run my Elevator lower then normal to slow down front/back speed, and reduce the angle of the body. Then leave the Aileron stuff a bit higher. I have 3 rates, Low, Med and High. Setup 50/50, 50/70, and 100/100 for the Elev/Ailer. Rudder always at 100 as they never really rotate fast enough. So that makes it a bit more tame and you still have the panic stopping power of a turn stop. Next up was figuring out how to make it more natural to drive for FPV. Mind you this is all with no FPV gear, just gear grinding in my head. So, the Mixing came into play. You do a Aileron/Rudder mix, with Ailer master, and Rudder the slave, I started at 30%, then 50, and finally 80 and it felt good. The idea is, you wont have to use your rudder stick. Just focus that hand on the throttle for maintaining height. When you aileron into a turn, it will rudder for you automatically and turn the quad nice and even height. Sorta gives you one less thing to think about, and you always have a sort of fixed input on your turns. Otherwise, a turn consists of Aileron and Rudder, and Throttle, and Elevator. I can sorta just Dumbstick around now focusing mainly on my height, and how tight I want the turn. Its very Car like to drive for sure. 200Qx is a very capable little bird, and well, its almost too good for its own good at times. Setup like this, I feel its more natural, and even more Video Game like. Less thinking, more smiling!
