Oh Friends! We had a rough day yesterday. We are walking Lilly - shes another black lab and lovely. After our morning walk we went back to mums car and as Lilly jumped in there was a freak accident and she somehow slipped and got her leg trapped between the car and the tow bar She was on the ground screaming and terrified and the angle her leg was at meant that mum couldnt free her without lifting her up She was struggling so much it took mum a few moments to get hold of her to lift her and free her leg. Mum was so worried she had broken her leg or in the struggle to free herself would mangle it- Mum phoned Uncle Alans n Julie the receptionists told mum to come right away - it was 8.15am and they were not even open. So as we set off mum noticed all this blood on her hands lots of it! Mum worried it was from Lilly but it was from mum! Lilly is fine Uncle Alan gave her an injection in case she was in any pain but she is unhurt and running round like a mad thing again (shes a giddy kipper!) It turns out in her panic Lilly has bitten mum a number of times. Julie at the vets sorted mum out with some special hand wash to clean up and told her to phone the nurse asap Mums had to have one of those jections and antibiotics coz 4 wounds are quite deep (shes got 12 altogether) Mum says its not Lillys fault, she didnt mean to bite her she was just so frightened she didnt know what she was doing and Mum didnt feel them until after it was all over!
