Oh How He Love Us! August 30, 2013 (by: Patricia Romack) Earlier this week I had dream when I woke up from my dream I was so full of God’s love for me. It was so strong that I almost couldn’t contain the emotion I was feeling. In my dream this man came up to a women and told her how much he loved her. He kept pursuing her and asking her why won’t you let me love you? There was such a longing in his eyes to lavish his love on her. He kept pursuing and waiting for her to receive all the love he had to give her. The women in this dream would say I know you love me and I love you too. And then she would look at him with such sadness in her eyes and say but I just can’t. When I woke up I knew that the man in this dream represented God. And the woman represented those of us who have been unable to embrace the full love of God. We let Him in just so far. As I thought about the dream my heart became so full of God’s love and truly felt as if I could soar. But at the same time I felt this sadness because the woman in my dream wouldn’t let God fully love her. As I began to pray about my dream I realized that so many times our fear, shame, or our own feelings of unworthiness keep up from fully receiving the love God longs to lavish on us. Several days later I was reading in the book of Isaiah. In the first part of Is 30:18 it says, “Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show you His love.” (Living Bible). The thought of God waiting for me is staggering. Me a mere human in all my frailty and short comings He waits for me! He waits you! He waits for us to come to him just the way we are so that He can lavish His love on us. I believe that it is His love that will begin to heal and be delivered from whatever state we are in. The verse goes on to say "He will conquer you to bless you." He loves you that much that He will keep on pursuing you. My prayer for us we would open up and receive the all love that God has for each of us. That as receive the fullness of His love that we would let go and allow God to come in and heal all that needs healing.
