Oh I needed this We had an awesome time last night of sharing and just being real at our womens meeting. There is a song that I so love by Casting Crowns called Stained Glass Masquerade. See so often we feel that as Christians we are not supposed to struggle, we are supposed to be strong all the time and we are NOT supposed to sin. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1 Corinthians 12:25-27 See if we walk around all proper and everything like we have nothing going on.....how can we help others? True story....yesterday as I was posting the devotinal, I was thinking if I didnt have such a difficult time at work, Id have nothing to put in these devotionals. (not true, hang on you will see where I am going.) As I was posting, in awe of what God had said to me, but at the same time asking but God why does it always have to be so hard. Why cant I have it easy, why God, why? Then as I was posting I got this notification that someone had commented on the devotional. I went to see what the comment was and I saw....O needed this.....as if it were a reply to my question. I promise you it was as if the Lord has answered me through this comment. THANK YOU JESUS. I got to thinking, if my struggles can help someone else, then guess what.....it is worth it when I do what I am called to do and share my struggle and how the Lord is working on me and helping me through the struggle. Then I was reminded of Jesus words. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 22:42 Not trying to belittle anything He went through for you or me, but do you think Jesus had a rough day coming.....he saw it coming, but faced it with such grace and obedience, obedient unto death. Yeah, makes my rough days pretty small in comparison....who am I to complain. If my rough or difficult day can help one person, it is worth it all and I will praise Jesus for those rough and difficult times. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20 But now are they many members, yet but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 Praying this morning that you and I keep our focus on Jesus and do that which He has called us to do....share Him with a lost and dying world. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, wont you call out to Him today before it is eternally too late. https://youtube/watch?v=a7U--p31vIY
