Oh, Just thinking out loud before I close my eyes tonight on how Id rather live my life with empty hands with Jesus then live an empty life with a hand full of money with the wrong people in it. The truth is, Jesus is all I need. He is alone is EVERYTHING. This world has nothing for me. Nothing else matter. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ (Philippians 3:8 NLT) Id rather have Jesus than silver or gold; I’d rather be His than have riches untold; I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands; I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hand Than to be the king of a vast domain And be held in sin’s dread sway; I’d rather have Jesus than anything This world affords today. I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause; I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause; I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame; I’d rather be true to His holy name Thank you God for bringing this song In my spirit tonight. Im grateful you trusted me with struggles that forced me to find you, serve you and follow you. Thank you for opening up my eyes to see what is real, fake, temporary, permanent, things that are important, pleasing to you and what it is to have a real intimate relationship with you. Oh, how love me and how you want the best for me. You have a much better plan for my life than I can give myself. Why do I wrestle with you or worry about tomorrow or people? I am in awe of you Lord, the roads your are taking me simply to show me that you are with me always. I am really starting to really love the person I am becoming. Only you God! You are the best thing that ever happened to me. Yeah, Id rather have you. Jesus! And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
