Oh and for our Atlas & Astra followers, they are getting big, sucks they have to grow up here, but they dont know they are homeless shhh But they are small dog friendly and cat friendly and crate trained and pretty much housebroken, but typical husky train wrecks if left unsupervised. Let me tell you those terrible two (10 m old) stage has hit hard... crazy pups..but they do pretty good when the gate is open etc, thats right a 12 foot gate on a automated arm can open and be open for 30 seconds and close and they are typically still where they belong.. So onto updates about their foot, these is the pair that where chain by their back legs at 4 months old so tight they lost circulation to their lower foot below the hock and had a lot of tissue damage they where left with the big paw pad and 1 toe each. So when the first surgery was done to trim away dead tissue and toe bones the vet also reduced the wound, well when that was done it cause the large pad to be pulled away from the toe further and to be at an angle.. which means when they place there foot no large calloused pad hitting the ground right for padding. I have given it about 1-2 months to see how their feet would adapt BUT>>> it is not going to work with out some intervention , so I will be consulting with the vet soon about doing another surgery, since things are healed otherwise, to pull things back together more and straighten the large pads. Yeah not really your routine surgery but my vets are kinda use to me throwing weird stuff at them.. and I have just the vet in mind for the challenge.
