Oh for the love of God................. Time to sound off just a wee bit now. Im observing these Continue the EU Legends type campaigns with somewhat amusing and also exasperating interest. Its all starting to look like theyre run by crazy cult straight jacket types. If I was mad enough to support such cause, Id be expected to: Bombard Disney, George Lucas et al with angry hashtags; burn all my EU books & figures in a fit of pique and god knows what else. Forget it. Im out. Name me one SW film so far which is based on the Expanded Universe? Answer: None at all. Aside from the naming of Coruscant in the prequel trilogy, and the odd reference to events from EU novels set during the Republic era. Otherwise, the EU is more or less driven by the films, but with additions of characters we may never get to see on screen. Always has been. Episode 7 will be no different. Its also bizarre and ridiculous to claim that Disney/Del Rey arent continuing the EU. Of course they are, only now with a new canon yet to take shape. Of course, Im not in any kind of position to judge the new EU, good or bad, before its had a chance to become established. In many ways, what the SW fan community have got, is very much a result of the seeds that have been sewn. Besides, my enjoyment of the Legends evaporated after Mara was killed off, but saved only by the fact of Leia in all her glory as a Jedi Knight :) Legends, New EU, Alternate Universe/fan fiction, it doesnt matter. Its all good :)
