Oh gosh where do I start 🙀 moved from PT Lincoln in 1969 at the age of 3 to what seemed like a huge 2 story house 🏠 in Sema4 PK. My earliest memory was falling down the stairs in my sleeping bag after moving in!! First separation from my mum was Kindy on Bower Rd and sitting on the swing waiting to see her come through that gate !! 😥Started primary school 🏤 at Ethelton the most beautiful teacher being Mrs Dodson bless her. Moved to sema4 PK primary when it opened. Loved primary school. Oh except for the hot milk in summer 😫Fantastic childhood memories with bestie Vikki Carr 👭and Gail Boscence 👯and Melissa Partridge. The amazing slippery dip and whizzy roundabout in seaway ave where Vikki and I would ride our bikes and hide in the bushes!! The sand dunes that were like mountains to kids that along military road and the esplanade. The sound of wood pigeons in summer, the sea breezes and summer storms and fog that would roll off the ocean. Early morning or late evening 5km walks with the neighbour and his greyhounds🏃 (thank you uncle Ross Cowley) you were a great role model. Riding our bikes 🚲 from sun up to sun set in those long hot summer days and skate boarding 🏂with a stack here and there!! Roller skating days at St Clairs to the coolest music 🎶and disco lights💢slip and slides on the front porch til out tummy muscles hurt, port games with our black duffle coats displaying our favorite player number on the back🏉22. Swimming at ethelton pool every day it was open come hot ☀️or cold ❄️ and eating a chokito or Polly waffle bar 🍫☀️that melted in its packet on our towel 🏊. Summer Holidays that had me yearning for my cousin Joanne come to stay from PT Lincoln and spending hours at the side show at semaphore 🍡🍦🎄🎠🎡🎪 and netball days at Hart Street courts 🍊🏀. Starting school at Le Fevre high and getting used to not having play ground and being a small fish in a big pond! 📚📢🐟. The tunnels under the stairs in the hall, the par 3 golf course across from the school oval. Being a tomboy and playing Footy with the boys 🏉, getting hot chips at the best chip shop crn of bower and Sansom Rd !! 🍟 just so much to recall but fir those who help make my childhood a happy one thank you😀 and those who didnt you made me a stronger person 😉
