Oh great another Pineapple Express is headed our way. Maybe I should get the kayaks ready? Last one I remember hitting this area was in 96 when I was Chief of boat operations on Swan Island with the US Coast Guard. We closed down Marine Drive because of water levels. Government island became a swamp. I remember we couldnt get our 41 footer underneath the steel bridge to go assist a home owner on one of the floating homes. And hundreds of people gathering to pile sandbags up along the river on the east side of town. Now for the information of all hands... stand by for heavy seas.. material condition Zebra is now in effect.
