Oh how I remember when hospitals looked like this, with beds you had to crank up and down manually, but usually no TV in the corner! And yes, nurses wore hats, white hose, nurses comfortable rubber soled shoes and white uniforms. Dresses, of course! My shoes would squeak on the slick tile floors and they could tell when you were coming! Thermometers had to be shaken down and they were glass so if you dropped one and broke it... no big deal, you just picked up the little ball of mercury and the glass and went on your way!No EPA to call in Hazmat! And walking into a patients room with and enema bag... the patient scrambling to the far side of the bed and looking like a deer trapped by headlights! Those were the days, my friend!
