Oh how I wish locals would learn how to eat and like flans, and then perhaps the local producers can make ready made frozen pie flan shortcrust cooked pastry bases - so I can do what those in other countries have the convenience of - having baked flan cases to fill with whatever fillings - the U.K. has even canned cooked custard. So easy then to fill the cases with that or mousse fillings ready made sold over there! Hmm so much work, time and inconvenience to make, roll, bake blind the cases, wait for them to cool, then to make the fillings and perhaps bake again!
