Oh, lol, and Gwyn totally called the Santa myth out: at just over a month shy of 4 years old... So she returns to her stocking, plucks a Reeces tree from inside, and says, Mom you lied to me about Santa: I know you put THIS in here. To which I chuckled and replied, Not exactly dear: I only ever mumble about Santa, neither confirming or denying. Everyone else just makes such a big deal about it that its hard to get around. Gwyn nods acceptingly, shrugs her shoulders, and smiles. Im glad I never really played into that myth or that might have gone a lot worse, lol.. Smarty pants... *Note: Id never even acknowledge Santa if society didnt shove it in our faces. Its a cute idea, but complicates things for those of us who have no desire to lie to our kids.. Ive never told my kids that Santa is real, to expect him on a specific night, or anything along the lines... I make a point to be honest in all things with them; plus, I have trouble giving a chubby, red-coated stranger all the credit for my love and effort.
