Oh, man. I can relate to this. Sometimes when Im invited to speak at conferences or on radio shows, they say, We want to hear about libertarianism from your female perspective. What? Im actually not a very confrontational person and I know they dont mean to be offensive, so I let it slide. But inside, I cringe. Hard. I can talk about libertarianism from *my* perspective. Thats about it. Just imagine, how silly it would be to ask someone to talk about libertarianism from a male perspective. Im not sure that my journey to discover and embrace a libertarian political philosophy had anything to do with my gender. It just seems wrong, to me, to force people to do things against their will. Whats that got to do with male or female? I do regret putting girl in my YouTube name when I started it several years ago. Cause the focus on gender is a bit annoying, to be honest :)
