Oh man, I just watched this video of a lovely artist processing the pain that comes from having strangers tell her again and again that she is charging too much for her art. It is so gut wrenching (and familiar to me, I hear it all the time. gah.)....I just want to hug her. I dont see why so many people get so offended by artists trying to make a modest living wage. That rage would be so much better directed at the fast fashion that is literally turning seamstresses into modern slaves. And if you do come across an artist whose work is too pricey for you, for gods sake, you dont need to insult their work with your negative comments. Find something nice to say, or just move along. I know that I am preaching to the choir here with you darling folks....so maybe we could show Batikwalla by Victoria Dresdner some love.
