Oh my God!!! You need to travel to places like Liberia, Ghana, Togo etc, to see where a woman is giving birth. You will see an obstetrician, a gynaecologist, a specialist surgeon, a registered nurse, midwife, welfare officer and so on, and they pet woman in labour, even as a man, you will feel like getting pregnant. That is why it is called delivery room over there. But in 9ja, it is called labour room. If you see what women go through, you will agree it also a trial room. Nigeria nurses make pregnancy look like a criminal offence. For instance when a woman who is in labour is brought to the hospital, they will throw her in the labour room and lock her up like a criminal awaiting trial, and they will go to the reception and start gossiping, untill d woman will start shouting like a goat. And when they come they will not help but to abuse her. You hear things like na me do u? the man wey do u no dey here o madam push o, abi u wan kill ur pikin. All this pains me a lot, bcos, if you know how painful labour is, you will wonder why a woman will be shouting at a fellow woman in such situation.
